One of the companies I work for started a program for artists to publish their own tattoos on the site and sell them through an art outreach program. My coworkers felt that if I made this available to other artists, that I should try to be part of it as well. So I joined in. They are fun to wear! I plan on selling them primarily at festivals and direct them to the website on the pack to buy the full pack.
Update:
I reached out to a bunch of different artists. We had four sets of tattoos being sold, and was starting to really get the ball rolling before the boss-man decided that he didn’t want to put any money in ads. So the project ended in a screaming halt.
But the silver lining is that I learned how to coordinate contracts with artists, source tattoos, set up print files, format instructions, packaging, played around in shopify, and got to take pictures of my coworkers wearing my art. That’s got to be worth something, if you ask me.
